Hi, I’m Ki. Kiah for long. You’ll probably say or spell it incorrectly. I won’t be offended. I’ve been called Kia, Kyah, Kayak, Kyra, Kira, Kiaha, Kihahaha. Funny. Like any good Gen Zedder, I blame my parents. And you can too:

I’m an Integrated creative at BMF, Sydney. Which is just a nonsense way to say, I love doing both Copywriting and Art Direction. Sue me.

I live for coming up with, making, talking about, teaching ideas and mentoring. So much so, I do it for a living. Huzzah.

I graduated from University with a Degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communications in 2012. And completed AWARD School Australia as a Top Ten student in 2014.

Over the last 6 years, I’ve gone from top Award School student to Award School tutor. I’ve worked both nationally and internationally on everything from spicy burgers and supermarkets to racism, domestic violence, sexism, vulnerable children, drunk driving, drug driving and conservation.

Some of my work has gained global fame. Including one idea so brave, Forbes felt compelled to publish a story entitled “The Creative Power of Alienating an Audience.” That was nice.

I’ve won B&T’s 30 under 30 Creative of the year, the SheSays Industry Award for Women who Contribute Incredible Ideas, Best in Show – Beacon Awards 2020, Campaign of the Year – Beacon Awards 2020 and received many accolades in show such as Axis, Award Awards, the Effies, B&T Women in Media Award, One Show, Canne and Mumbrella.

I’ve also done some lovely interviews with the kind humans at B&T Magazine, The Communications Council, Triple J radio and the like. And given back to the ad community as a Communications Council ambassador, Rainbow Tick board member, charity events organiser and mentor. Mentoring is my second favourite thing – after ideas, of course. 

For me, success isn’t just about creative output. It’s also about what we can do to be better as an industry.
