Please meet Natalia Chona, Copywriter at Geometry Colombia.

What is the piece of work you’re most proud of and why?
I’m mostly proud of a campaign called #BrandDetox, a client movement for more sustainable brands. By joining, clients publicly denounced heir favorite brand asking them to become more sustainable. It was a simple action that proved that joining forces could make a real change in the world. It was the First Grand Prix Winner for the Young Golds category in El Dorado Festival’s history, and our first award in the industry after many failed attempts in different young talents competitions.
Do you ever feel invisible at work and if so, how do you make yourself more visible?
I’m a really tall girl so I never feel invisible. I have had the fortune of growing up as a professional in a place that seeks for great ideas, no matter the gender, and I believe that hard work and giving the best of yourself is the best way to become more visible. Words can make promises, but actions can make them come true.
Who do you admire in the industry and why?
Since the moment I saw the MasterClass of Jeff Goodby and Rich Silverstein, I’ve loved their professional relationship, as well as their skills creating incredible Super Bowl ads and the way they manifest their copywriting and art direction skills in every single detail of their work. I believe that’s my professional goal, to keep on growing with my creative partner Natalia Cabrera, and bringing great ideas come to life, as well as reaching a Creative Direction together through time. We absolutely love creating together.
What do you love about your job?
I truly love that we need to learn from different industries every day, from International Telcos, to medical gear, personal hygiene products and day to day consumer goods. It’s a never ending degree in fields you never thought you could work in. One day you write about the cotton industry and the next day you are creating an entire campaign to eradicate gender violence on social networks. You never know what comes next.
